More than a service…
Far too often in our culture church is simply thought of as something you attend. But this was never what God intended. His Church is about community. It’s about His family. It’s about spending time together and living life together. When we reduce His family to a service we miss many of the blessings God intends for our lives.
Worship services play a vital part in the life of the Church, but historically the Church has done more than simply attend services. They also set time aside for Jesus’ family to build relationships and be equipped to live the life Jesus intends. At the CORE Christian Community we want to do more than attend church; we want to BE the Church.
We know you can’t know everyone, but you need to know someone. Connecting is simply people getting together to build relationships. Some go out to eat at restaurants or homes. Others do activities together like volleyball, game nights, or attend organized church events. Our Sunday Connect Times begin after services and are designed for you to meet and get to know others in God’s Family. Join us on Sundays and enjoy brunch or lunch on us.
After Connect Times, join us for Equip Groups at Falcon Elementary School or the Core Christian Community Center. We have various classes on many different topics ranging from Bible studies, to learning how to counsel your friends, to learning how to be a better parent. We also have programs for kids. See what’s available in our app.
So join us for something a little different on the weekends… it’s more than a service it’s a family.
What is the CORE?
The CORE started out as a way for us to focus on four things we think lead to spiritual growth. Corporate Worship, Others Focused, Relationships, and Education. But as our first congregation grew we realized those things happen better in smaller groups. So instead of trying to get bigger and bigger in one location the CORE took on added meaning.
The CORE is now also the name given to our Church community as a whole. Instead of spending our resources on multiple buildings, and to keep our main groups smaller for better opportunities to form relationships and find places to serve, we rent space for Sunday gatherings throughout the community. We use our combined resources to support staff and a Community Center.
Our various congregations come together for larger things like youth groups, special events, mission trips, and educational opportunities. We believe this allows for the best use of our resources and the best opportunities to be the family God has called us to be.
