Equip Courses Starting the Week of October 5th

(If you have trouble logging in, email “first name of leader”@mycorecommunity.com)

These will take place on Sundays at 12:15pm at the CORE Community Center and online. Unlike pre-recorded video lessons, the online courses will be live and interactive, giving participants the opportunity to ask questions, discuss material, and learn together in real time.

The in person and online format allows us to open the door for more people to join in. Schedules can get hectic, and this gives our church family the flexibility to participate in meaningful spiritual growth without always needing to be on-site.

“Learning Contentment” with Bethanne Zimmerman

Sundays at 12:15pm at the CORE Christian Community Center, Wednesdays Online @ 7:00pm–8:00pm

This course will encourage Christians to pursue joy in every circumstance. We’ll talk about avoiding grumbling and comparisons and instead embrace the peace that comes from trusting God’s sovereignty. We’ll look at biblical keys to true contentment being found in knowing Jesus more deeply.

“New Believer Foundations” with Brandon Kissam

Sundays at 12:15pm at the CORE Christian Community Center

Designed for those new to the Christian faith, this course helps build a strong, lasting foundation. Through open discussion and practical teaching, we’ll explore essential topics such as who Jesus is, how to read and navigate the Bible confidently, and other core truths that shape a growing relationship with God. No prior experience is required-just bring your questions and a desire to grow.

“Intentional Discipleship” with Brandon Kissam

Thursdays online @ 7:00pm–8:00pm

This course explores the biblical foundation and practical process of disciple-making. You’ll gain tools and confidence to walk alongside others in their spiritual growth, helping them become mature followers of Christ who, in turn, disciple others. Through Scripture, discussion, and real-life application, you’ll learn how to be an intentional, relational, and multiplying disciple-maker.

“Optimistic About Endtimes” with Barry Zimmerman

Sundays at 12:15pm at the CORE Christian Community Center, Wednesdays online @ 7:00pm–8:00pm

Not all end-times views involve fire, fear, and disappearing people. What if the future isn’t all doom and gloom? This course explores postmillennialism-the view that the gospel wins, the church thrives, and history is headed somewhere good. We’ll trace its surprising historical roots, unpack its biblical support, and honestly tackle the critiques. Whether you’re a prophecy buff, a hopeful skeptic, or just tired of end-times panic, come discover a vision of the future that might just change how you live in the present.

“Well, That’s Your Interpretation” with David Hough

Sundays at 12:15pm at the CORE Christian Community Center

The Bible isn’t a choose-your-own-adventure book. Ever heard someone say, ‘Well, that’s your interpretation’? In this fun and practical course on hermeneutics (a fancy word for interpreting Scripture), we’ll learn how to read the Bible faithfully, clearly, and without turning every verse into a fortune cookie. From genre and context to common mistakes and helpful tools, you’ll gain confidence in understanding what the Bible actually says-and how to help others do the same.

“Monsters, gods, and Weird Things” with Dennis Blaisdell

Sundays at 12:15pm at the CORE Christian Community Center, Wednesdays Online @ 9:00pm–10:00pm

Giants. Sea dragons. Talking animals. Divine council meetings. Wait… what? The Bible is full of strange and surprising things you may have skimmed past-or never heard in Sunday School. This course dives into the weirdest corners of Scripture: Nephilim and cherubim, Leviathan and Behemoth, ‘gods’ that aren’t really gods, and prophetic visions that sound like sci-fi. But these strange stories aren’t just entertaining-they reveal deep truths about God, evil, and what’s really going on behind the scenes. If you’ve ever wondered, ‘Did that really happen?’ or ‘Why is that in the Bible?’-this class is for you.Your Content Goes Here
